About the game

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is an epic action-adventure game with RPG elements developed by Ubisoft Montreal and released in November 2020. It is part of the cult Assassin's Creed series, but takes players to a new time and space - the world of the Scandinavian Vikings of the 9th century. The game features a unique storyline full of adventures, choices and battles, and offers an in-depth look at the history of the Vikings and the early Middle Ages.

Plot and characters

The main character of the game is Eivor, a Viking who leads his clan from the cold shores of Norway to the new lands of England. Evor can be either male or female, depending on the player's choice at the beginning of the game. Eivor's story intertwines with the world politics of 9th century England, where four kingdoms struggle for power and Norse conquerors try to conquer new territories and find their place in this turbulent world.

Eivor is not just a viking, but part of an ancient brotherhood of assassins, bringing the classic theme of the struggle between the Assassins and the Templar Order to the game. This struggle spans several historical eras and continues in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, where the Order operates under the name of the Order of the Elders.

The plot of the game covers many topics, including:
Finding a home for the clan.
Political intrigues of the English kingdoms.
The struggle between faith in the old Viking gods and Christianity.
Eivore's personal inner conflicts and his/her choice between war and peace.

Game world
Assassin's Creed Valhalla offers players a huge open world that covers both Norway and parts of England, as well as several special locations, including mythical worlds inspired by Norse mythology.

Norway is a cold, harsh land with majestic mountains, frozen lakes and small Viking settlements. This is Eivor's homeland, but it quickly becomes too small for the clan's ambitious plans.

England is the main setting of the game, divided into four kingdoms: Wessex, Mercia, Northumbria and East Anglia. England in the game is a mixture of picturesque villages, big cities and mysterious forests. Players can explore castles, rivers, battlefields, and ancient religious sanctuaries. England at this time was in a state of political and religious crisis, which provided many opportunities for the Vikings to conquer new territories.

Mythical Worlds – In addition to realistic locations, players can visit the mythical worlds of Norse mythology, such as Asgard and Jotunheim, where they will meet gods and giants, solve puzzles and participate in large-scale battles.
